A more relaxed, light, airy, and less suppressive brief that holds everything in front but doesn’t provide much support for men who hang low. If you like moving around without flopping around this is a perfect alternative to boxers.

Where to buy:These are only sold at Walmart stores, not online.

These are the Low Rise Briefs, by Life Underwear (styled by Jockey) which also make the Bikini Briefs (more restricted), and the String Bikini Briefs. We have not reviewed either of them yet.

Overall:

This is one of those not too tight, not too loose kind of briefs. They’re very light, airy, and are great for the tucked (A1-A3) and limp (B1 & B2) positions. Within about 5 hours your jock will unfortunately stretch the pouch out in front and because it’s not made of more elastic fabric you’ll loose a lot of support, fortunately you won’t slip out through the leg holes. Overall, it’s a very comfortable brief that stretches for larger men. It’ll hold you if you’re out in public but avoid sports and jogging activities.

Best For:

Normally I would recommend well endowed men stay away from anything low rise as they don’t handle erections well and you can’t adjust yourself in the flaccid up (C1-C2) position. But these are ok.

If you’re average sized or small you might as well stick with normal less expensive briefs but well hung men will like that the pouch in front stretches and gives for them and that the leg bands don’t allow them to fall through the leg holes.

Issues:

Because the fabric is so thin you will notice that the smallest hairs will poke through. We recommend getting the darker colors to easily hide this. Also the fabric, over time, gets holes and “fuzzies” easily.

Unfortunately, Life Underwear is only sold at Walmart stores, not online, only IN the actual store, but they are extremely limited and difficult to find. To complain please visit Life Underwear’s website to e-mail them or call 1-800-562-5391. After checking 2 Walmarts ourselves, we couldn’t find these anymore, which is a shame. These are legendary and deserve to be enjoyed by all men.

Comfort:

Very comfortable. Good for lounging around the house, or going out in public just remember they’re not for jogging or sports activities. The waistband and leg bands are perfect, not to tight not too loose.

Heat & Moisture:

You won’t have to worry about heat and moisture as the cotton is so thin it keeps everything dry.

Support:

The only position you might want to avoid is the flaccid up (C1 & C2) as within 5 hours the fabric will stretch out and no longer hold everything close to your body so you’ll bulge out. Really if you’re looking for support look for alternatives, this is just one of those, not too tight, not too loose, in between kind of briefs.

Erections:

Erections are easy, and if you’re in the flaccid limp (B1 & B2) position there’s enough room to stretch out slanted towards the hip instead of going straight up during an erection. I wouldn’t recommend being shirtless as you’ll pop out if you have an erection that goes straight up.

Appearance:

As the fabric stretches out, if you’re in the flaccid tucked (A1-A3) position, the pouch will take on the form of your jock like a glove and might look silly in the locker room, other than that it’s fine. Because looks are subjective please use the poll below to rate the appearance of this pair, do you feel positive or negative about how these look?

Fabric:

100% cotton. Fabric is thin, light, and breathable. However, hairs (long and short) poke out from the fabric but it’s no big deal, just don’t wear the white pair, get the darker colored ones. Fabric lasts for quite some time (about 1-2 years) but afterwords holes develop and the fabric gets “fuzzies”. Fabric does NOT keep the same support throughout the day.

Other Colors:

They come in dozens of other colors and designs usually in a pair of 5. The availability of each at your local Walmart is unknown and you cannot order online either.

I have had my briefs custom made to accomodate my size. I am very fortunate to have a large penis and big low hangers. the only time it is inconvenient is when I want to dress conservatively. I like support without restraint. Could you recommend a company that might have something for me. I can send a picture of my customs if that will help. I can’t afford to to have them custom made anymore. Thank you. Alan

These are great my son is very large endowed and has big low hanging balls he came to me at the start of the school year upset because he got made fun of in gym class, Now that he is in 7th grade they must wear uniforms he is only 12 and is otherwise a skinny kid so his crouth area stands out, they either have to wear jockstaps or support briefs and like most young boys he doesn’t want to get naked in front of others, these underwear are great in providing him with the support he needs during class and doesn’t have you hanging out like some other briefs can do if your more endowed
